No. Ellie works silently in the background. Your contacts won't receive any notifications or messages. Of course, sharing your favorite insights is always up to you.

Yes. Your messages are for your eyes only. Ellie is built to guard your intimate data, not mine it. We never sell, share, or train on your messages and contacts. Your messages stay encrypted on your phone. During syncing and reflection processing, they're processed in the cloud but never stored there.

Generating meaningful insights requires powerful AI that runs on cloud servers. Your messages are processed in-memory and immediately discarded—never stored.

We use OpenRouter and Google for AI processing. Neither we nor our providers permanently store or train on your chat content.

All your data is permanently deleted from our servers. No backups, no records. You have full control. We do keep anonymous usage statistics that aren't linked to your account and therefore can't be deleted with it.

Yes. Ellie is fully compliant with GDPR and other major data protection regulations.

Currently, Ellie works with WhatsApp. We're working on supporting for other platforms in the future.
